Cottage World is for the part of Minecraft where decorating the kitchen matters as much as defeating a boss. It has more than 240 mods for building, farming, cooking, exploring, and making one place feel properly lived in.
Shadowfall is the less welcoming experiment: cursed dungeons, dragons, Blood Magic, strange ruins, and creatures that noticed you before you noticed them. It is still alpha, and I am not going to pretend otherwise.
