Privacy, in normal language first

RobinEclipse, the operator of robineclipse.com, is responsible for personal information handled by this site. Use the contact and legal request form for privacy questions, access requests, deletion requests, copyright notices, or reports about illegal content.
You can read the public pages without an account. When you sign in through Modrinth, the site receives and stores your Modrinth user ID, username, profile image, site role, account dates, and recent sign-in time. It does not request your Modrinth email address or password, and it does not keep the temporary Modrinth access token.
Active sessions also store their creation time, last activity time, and a broad browser/device label so you can recognize and sign out devices. Owner controls use a separate password, checked against a salted one-way hash stored privately on the server. Submitted passwords are not saved in the database or included in activity logs.
If you participate in the community board, the site stores your posts, replies, post type, project and any relevant game-version details, content flags, notifications about replies and public post changes, and the connection between that content and your account. Approved posts, replies, username, and profile image are public. A first contribution or text that looks like it may contain a private key or access token is held privately for owner review before publication. Moderation records can include review priority, pinned status, public resolution notes, warnings, temporary suspensions, bans, reasons, removed or restored content, session revocations, and private owner notes used to handle repeat issues consistently.
If you use the contact form without signing in, the site stores the request type, subject, reply email, optional name, relevant page address, message, status, and dates so Robin can answer by email. If you are signed in and choose an on-site conversation, the site links the private message history to your local account instead and does not require an email address. Only you and the site owner can open that conversation. A temporary one-way network or account identifier is also used to limit automated spam without storing the raw address in the contact database. Do not include passwords, account tokens, or unrelated personal information.
Community replies can link to the comment being answered. The site stores your choices about comment and direct-reply notifications, including any posts you mute. These choices are private, included in your account export, and removed when you delete your account. Your unfinished reply and its target comment ID may be saved in this browser tab for up to 24 hours to help recover your draft.
The site stores a versioned privacy choice in your browser for up to 180 days. It records whether you allowed Analytics or embedded videos, the policy version, and when you chose. Declining optional services does not stop you from reading the site or using the community board. Your selected light or dark theme is saved locally as a display preference.
Signing in creates a secure, HTTP-only session cookie for up to 30 days. Member sessions become unusable after seven days of inactivity; owner sessions end after 30 minutes of inactivity or eight hours total. OAuth security and return cookies last no more than 10 minutes. These support the sign-in you requested. Cloudflare may also set a short-lived security cookie such as __cf_bm to identify automated traffic and protect the site. Optional settings cannot turn off strictly necessary security or sign-in storage.
Google Analytics remains completely unloaded until you separately enable Site analytics in Cookie settings. When it is off, the site does not load Google's Analytics script, set Analytics cookies, or send Analytics measurement requests. Enabling YouTube does not enable Analytics.
When enabled, the site sends a minimal page-view event for public content pages. It contains the page title and a cleaned path such as /blog, along with the standard browser, device, approximate-location, traffic-source, and technical information Google Analytics derives from a request. Search text, URL query details and fragments, account pages, administrator pages, forms, and private API routes are excluded. Enhanced Measurement, Google Signals, and advertising personalization are not used.
The Analytics cookie lifetime is limited to 180 days and is not extended on every visit. Turning Analytics off again stops future measurements, removes the Analytics script, and clears Analytics cookies that this site can access. Google Analytics event-level data is configured for two months; Google may retain aggregated standard reports for longer. See Google's Analytics retention explanation for that distinction.
YouTube thumbnails and privacy-enhanced players remain unloaded until you enable YouTube videos. After you enable them, Google and YouTube may receive your IP address, browser information, the page you visited, and information about what you play. A normal link that opens youtube.com takes you away from this site and is then covered by YouTube's own rules.
Cloudflare hosts, delivers, protects, and stores site data, including encrypted recovery backups. Modrinth handles sign-in and provides the basic profile details you authorize. Google provides Analytics and YouTube when you allow the corresponding optional service. These providers may process information outside Norway or the EEA using the safeguards available for the relevant service, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Their current terms and privacy information also apply to their parts of the service.
You may request a copy of your information, correction, deletion, restriction, or object to processing where the law provides those rights. Signed-in members can download a copy of their forum data, private conversation history, or delete an unrestricted account from My Account. Account deletion hides that member's reports and replies, removes account-linked private conversations, anonymizes the profile, and signs the account out. A currently restricted account cannot use self-service deletion to erase an active moderation record and immediately register again; use the moderation appeal form so the restriction and deletion request can be reviewed. Use the contact form if specific public text also needs urgent removal.
Privacy requests are handled without unnecessary delay and normally within one month. You may also complain to Datatilsynet.
Anyone can read the public pages, but account and posting features are intended for people aged 13 or older. Do not post your age, address, school, phone number, private messages, or other identifying information. If applicable law requires permission from a parent or guardian, that permission must be obtained before using the account features.
The site uses encrypted connections, secure cookies, access controls, rate limits, fresh owner verification for sensitive moderation actions, and limited administrator access. Automated retention maintenance is configured to run daily where scheduled jobs are available and also runs as a non-blocking fallback while the site is active. No service can promise perfect security. If a change affects how personal information is used, this page and its date will be updated. A new optional-consent version will be requested when the choices materially change.
